Do I need a partner? If I have a partner, do I need to switch partners?
We welcome singles and couples at Unity Dance Community.
You choose, dancers can rotate partners throughout the class to meet people and practice their leading and following or remain with their partner if you prefer.

Do you have classes for beginners?
Yes! Our Beginner Ballroom Series is designed for first time dancers. Worry free- these group classes will teach you everything you need to know to join us on the dance floor! Even after the first series consisting of 6 group classes, you will have skills to get you dancing!​

What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable which allows you to move easily. Some students will be arriving straight from work and others may be dressed more casually, either is fine, but comfortable shoes are a must. We suggest leather-soled shoes for gentlemen and shoes with a back for ladies: no tennis shoes, flip flops, or sandals please.

Our intermediate curriculum includes series offering many other dances such as Tango, Salsa, Cha Cha, West Coast Swing , and more!

How much does it cost & how can I pay for classes?
Each series includes 6 group classes and a practice party. Enrollment in a series is $155/single and $255/couple. Additional practice parties can be purchased.
All series and other purchases can be paid by credit card through our website. We also accept cash & Zelle in person.
No, enrollment and participation is open to EVERYONE! Our members are a diverse group of people who have an interest in learning how to social dance and want to be a part of a welcoming, fun, and caring community.

If I have to miss a class, is there a way to make up the session?
No, but we do offer review videos of each step we teach in our 3:4 Online Dance Collection! The Beginner Ballroom 1 online series is included with class registration. Subscription purchase options will be available for all subsequent series.

What is a practice party?
UDC practice parties are fun social events, open to the public. At practice parties we play a variety of music and give you the opportunity to practice the material you are learning, connect with your community, and have a fabulous time in a party-type atmosphere! You may purchase parties a la carte. one party is included in your class series enrollment.

What is the 3:4 Online Dance Collection?

3:4 Dance Collection is Unity Dance Community's online video library and your best tool for reviewing patterns at home. Each dance pattern taught in the series can be found here with detailed explanations of steps, footwork, and timings. These videos aid in practice, help with recall of previously introduced patterns, and fill in the gaps when you have to miss a group class! The Beginner Ballroom 1 online series is free and included with class registration, and subscription options are available for all subsequent series.
